One of my favorite childhood storybooks was Little Red Riding Hood, and for several years I’ve been collecting fabrics to make a Red Riding Hood quilt. When the opportunity to design a fabric collection for Red Rooster Fabrics came along, my first thought was of Little Red Riding Hood.

My first fabric collection features a wonderful border stripe with a rosy-cheeked Little Red Riding Hood, Grandmother’s cottage and her quilt-covered bed, and of course the Big Bad Wolf himself. Also is a tossed print of Little Red Riding Hood with a napping cat, and a flower bouquet. The line of fabrics is supplemented with a little appliqué quilt pattern; and various basket weaves, mini broken stripes, pin dots, and checks that are all perfect for both piecing and appliqué.
